As of Tuesday, April 19, your student will have brought home walkathon pledge packages. This is the next big PAC Fundraiser and the first one of it's kind at Livingstone. The day of the walkathon is Thursday, April 28. Students will be gathering pledges for each lap they complete. For example, if a child gets a pledge of $1/lap and they do 20 laps, then they would collect $20 from the pledger. Pretty simple! The kids will be motivated by thousands of dollars in prizes and other support and encouragement. We’re looking for one parent for each division to help out on the day of the walkathon from 12:45 - 2:30 p.m. Volunteers will help with marking laps, keeping kids on track, helping with teacher support, if needed. If you’re able to help, please sign-up here. If your division is already full or you’re available to help out at an alternate time, please list under ‘Other’. Time to start thinking about the holidays!With the PAC Gift Card program, you can use gift cards for your gift giving or give them as gifts and Livingstone gets a percentage. What could be easier? This successful gift card program is a great way for us to raise money for our school. Each time you buy a card a percentage of the value is donated to the school. There is a long list of shops, restaurants and services for you to choose from. The money raised is used to support field trips, organize events and support the needs of the school to enhance our children's learning environment. Forms and more information on purchasing gifts cards is going home on November 5th. You can also find them below. Forms are due back by November 16th. This is a great way to support your school by buying cards to places where you regularly shop or by getting some of your Christmas shopping done.  Don't put that pop can or wine bottle in the blue bin!Bring your refundable recyclables to the school! Our PAC recycling program has historically been a large source of funds for all the great work the PAC does for our families. It also fosters a great sense of awareness within the school community about our earth's limited resources. In order to continue with past success, we need you!
1. RECYCLE: please bring in all your refundable recyclable items and put them in the bins in the room by the gym on the north side of the school. Alcohol containers are ok! Items we can accept:
2. VOLUNTEER: This program relies heavily on volunteer labour to be successful. The more people we have helping, the faster it goes. In addition to help sorting, we are also looking for someone with a truck or other larger vehicle to drive around to area businesses to pick up their refundable items. Save the Date!Multicultural Night is a wonderful event at our school and a huge fundraiser for the PAC. This year, Multicultural Night will be Thursday, April 16. The raffle donations are pouring in and we already have some amazing items and experiences that you can win. Keep an eye on the blog and facebook page where we'll start posting some of the big items that you can win.
 Do you have an extra hour a month?
One of the PAC's major fundraisers is our recycling program. This program depends on the support from the parents to keep it running. We are currently in need of more parent volunteers to help sort the bottle donations. This does not need to be large commitment. Depending on the amount of donations needing to be sorted, it takes about 30 minutes to 1 hour. Volunteers can come once a week or once a month - whatever works for you.
