FunLunch Days are a part of the PAC’s fundraising efforts, but more importantly they are a lot of fun for the students! Parents will also love having one day a week when packed lunches are not needed.
There will be 9 FunLunch Days and 2 Smoothie Recesses between January 16th and Spring Break 2018. The winter session includes: Fresh Slice Pizza, Sushi Day, Hot Doggel Day, and Subway Meal. Ordering is available on the Munchalunch website starting now! Finish your order by midnight on Monday, January 8th (the first day back at school) to meet the deadline for the first Pizza Day on Tuesday, January 16th. Please visit the David Livingstone PAC website for more information about the FunLunch program, ordering guidelines etc, and contact Mackenzie Stonehocker with any follow-up questions.  The David Livingstone PAC will be hosting a free pancake breakfast on Dec 21st from 8:00 am to 8:55 am in the gym. There will be pancakes (including gluten free), coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Coffee will be generously provided by Caffe Artigiano Main Street.
Please bring your own plates, cutlery and mugs to minimize waste. Everyone is welcome. If you can volunteer to help or have a griddle/hot plate that you can lend us, please sign up here.  Thank you to our PAC Chair, Judy McLaren, for setting up the Boot Box donation bin next to the PAC bulletin board outside the office. Please dig into your closets for outgrown winter boots, rain boots, mittens and gloves to donate to the students of Xpey' Elementary. Xpey' is the new indigenous name for MacDonald Elementary School. Xpey' means cedar in the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ language of the Musqueam people.
 Donation cards for our annual Fall Fund Drive were sent home last week.
This year the David Livingstone PAC is hoping to raise $15,000 to fund the following initiatives: - Science and Math - Create a new Resource Space - Technology - Purchase 15 new iPads - Arts and Athletics - Implement school wide events If you would like to donate, just return a cheque (no cash please) in an envelope marked Fall Fund Drive to your teacher. Please include the completed card with your name, division of child(ren), mailing address (for tax receipt), and donation amount. Extra cards can be found below the PAC board outside the office, or just include a note with all the required information. Donations of $50 or more, returned by December 15th, 2017 will be issued a tax receipt. Cheques should be made payable to David Livingstone PAC. Thank you for supporting our school. |
