Thanks to all who made the East Van Soiree such a success - for volunteering, attending, drinking, buying, and dancing. Although preliminary, it looks like net profit will be over $23,000 (to be divided between Livingstone and Brock)! An amazing night yielding amazing results for our kids!
We are so thankful to event co-chairs Julia Hibbard and Joanna Cook, MacDonald Realty for sponsoring the champagne reception, Karley Rice Personal Real Estate Corporation for sponsoring the balloon raffle, and John Rice of Jarvis McGee Rice for sponsoring the ceramic plates our kids painted. Food was generously donated by Simon Cotton from The Reef, Sonia Strobel from Skipper Otto’s Community Supported Fishery, and Adam at Nester’s Market. We are very lucky to have Faculty Brewing sponsor the beer for the event, and more huge thanks to those who donated wine, including Brennan Cook (the Roleur Group), Mike Kerfoot (Sprout Accounting), Alix Mosby and David Goodison (4Front Mortgages). Finally, since September we have had an committee of dedicated parents helping with planning, auction solicitation, décor ideas, and everything else so a MASSIVE thank you to Jodi Adrian, Maggie Anderson, Maggie Campbell, Tanya George, Vanessa Lobel, Anne Marie Waddell, Jessica Zallen, Cristina Manicom, Becky Kerfoot, Steph Hawkins, Nicole Oliver and Cher Quigley for all the sweat equity they’ve put into the Soirée. Thanks to Rob Weaver, our dj Reese, photographer Halle Adrian and to Nicole Oliver, our MC for the evening, as well as everyone who volunteered to bartend, set-up, sell tickets, donated items and helped tear the event down so we could minimize costs and make the most money possible for our kids.
