The PAC will be hosting a Parent education speaker series on the topic of "Supporting Your Child’s Learning" - by Trish Mugford, English teacher at Magee Secondary.
The presentation is provided via the BCTF’s education series. This session looks at child development stages, learning styles and tips/recommendations based on learning styles. Please join us for the January PAC meeting. The agenda and previous meeting minutes are posted HERE.
Meetings are held in the school library from 7:00 - approx. 8:30pm and free childminding is provided. If you have any questions or items you would like added to the agenda, please email [email protected] Livingstone Spirit Wear is here and available for purchase! Hats, water bottles, t-shirts and hoodies for students and their parents as well. We've partnered with an East Van company, BeastVan, who has helped us incorporate and modernize our iconic lion. National Hot Chocolate Day: Time has changed to 1100 am - 1230 pm Looking for X4 helpers to help serve the school hot chocolate at recess on Friday, Jan 31st. X2 are needed from 1130 - 1230 and X2 are needed from 1030-11. Fun Lunch - Time Commitment: 45 minutes - Looking for help on Tuesday’s from 11:30…until about 12:15. You can pic and choose which Tuesday works best for you. Backpack Buddies - Time Commitment: 30 minutes - Looking for help on Thursdays from 8:50 - 9:20. Note this occasionally will be a Wednesday if it happens to be a Pro D day that week. Note - we are also looking for more people to take turns and ‘Lead’ a day - if you first sign-up as a helper, we can show you the ropes (it’s very easy, just requires someone to be the organizer). We have a number of opportunities that need volunteers in the coming months and could really use some extra hands. If you are able to help, please sign-up on the Master Volunteer List here.
