Our PAC Exec Team has really enjoyed working with you, school admin, and our community over the past two years! Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to represent you as part of the team.

​Our PAC constitution and bylaws state that a person may not hold a position for more than two years. This means that the following PAC roles are currently looking for nominations for next year; the vote for a new PAC Exec will take place at the May PAC AGM:

• Chair (currently Caroline Provost) 
• Vice-Chair (currently Sheila Louis) 
• Secretary (currently Jules Balsillie)

The following roles are currently occupied going into next year:

• Communications (Elizabeth Hand)
• Treasurer (Maria Soto ending her tenure, Danny Madeira voted in during April meeting) 

In order for our school PAC to continue, there *must* be people in the following roles: 

• Chair
• Treasurer
• Secretary
  
  

The following roles are not legally required, but they help balance the load and bring broader perspective to the team: 

• Vice-Chair 
• Communications

To learn more about the roles, you can check out the Role Descriptions. The descriptions are not exhaustive, but give you an idea of what's involved in making the PAC work. 

We would love to help welcome in a new PAC team for the 2026/27 school year. The current exec team is more than happy to answer any questions and will help with the smooth transition for next year!

Why do we care if PAC exists? Having a PAC means that our school is eligible for the BC Gaming Grant, which provides $20 per student for non-curricular spending. It also allows for parents to advocate for the students, work with admin to ensure parents are heard, and optionally fundraise for items and programs not covered by the government.

Our school community has generously fundraised over $100,000 over the past two years allowing us to:

• purchase laptops; 
• build and fund teaching in a school garden;
• fund mathematics, mental wellness, and movement;
• enable field trips, class supplies, and STEAM programs for classrooms;
• improve our library; 
• provide outside programming around dance, tennis, pickleball, black history, indigenous culture and traditions;
• and more! 
• Without PAC, the above initiatives may not have been completed. 

However, your PAC isn't just about fundraising, and in fact the next PAC Exec may decide to forgo fundraising, and focus solely on building and supporting community through movie nights, school dances, holiday hampers,  barbecues, etc, which we've absolutely loved to plan and execute, with the help of parent volunteers.
For next year, your teachers and school have requested funds to support a new literacy program, as well as the replacement of some older technology. Let's help build a strong PAC to help reach those objectives, and keep building up our amazing community!

 "Three MMMs" initiative focuses on Math, Movement, and Mental Wellness and aims to build on the Livingstone School Plan goals to "improve numeracy, physical and mental well-being, and belonging" in our school community. 
Funds raised will be distributed evenly across the three areas of focus. 

Donations of $25 or more will be eligible to receive a tax receipt in this school year. 
​This is our only tax deductible fundraiser this year.
