 The David Livingstone PAC will be hosting a free pancake breakfast on Dec 21st from 8:00 am to 8:55 am in the school gym. There will be pancakes (including gluten free), coffee, tea and hot chocolate.
Please bring your own plates, cutlery and mugs to minimize waste. Everyone is welcome. If you can volunteer to help or have a griddle/hot plate that you can lend us, please SIGN UP HERE.

Hi everyone! East Van Soirée tickets will go on sale to Livingstone parents on Nov. 29. $45 each - includes appetizers/one drink ticket. Any questions, please let me know! This will be a great night! Please take a moment to read information on how you can help this year. There will be a Cookie Drive on December 17th and you can donate to the Hamper drive HERE   By now you should have received your David Livingstone Fall Fund Drive envelope. We have some great items and programs we hope to fund with this year's donations. Donations will only be accepted online and tax receipts will be issued instantly. The process is very easy and only takes a few minutes This is the same system parents will be using in the future for student purchases so it's a good time to test it out! On February 1, 2019 at Heritage Hall on Main Street, Brock and Livingstone PACs will host a night of community, dancing, and fundraising for our schools (save the date!) - the second annual East Van Soirée. Ticket sales will be announced shortly! In the meantime, our enthusiastic and active committee is busy gathering items for the silent auction and looking for parents who might be interested in sponsoring a portion of the night or donating wine to the bar. Attached is the silent auction letter, as well as the sponsorship letter. Please share with your community if you like. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me. Julia Divisions 1 & 2 are selling Poinsettias and Wreaths as a fundraiser for their Grade 7 educational trip to Jasper next May. Order deadline is Nov 19 and delivery will be the week of Dec 3. This year David Livingstone is a Backpack Buddies donor school and parent volunteers are needed each week to help students pack the backpacks.
The time requirement is 8:50 am until approximately 9:30 am on Thursday's (Wednesday's if it is a Pro D Day). Sign up is via a Google sheet that lists dates, volunteer spaces and Divisions that are signed up (in case you want to join your child's class). Needs are: - X2 people for this week (we just need two - please use sign-up sheet) - Parents that have participated in the past (or will come for one session) and then be a 'Leader' - the leader requirement is just being the point person for that day - showing people how to set-up the food on the library tables and explaining the process to the kids. I can help with the securing of additional volunteers. - If there's a parent that has participated in the past and is available to 'Lead' this week - please let me know...could really use the help this week. We're still hoping to integrate the leadership team once that's finalized. In the meantime, it would be GREATLY appreciated to have some parent support. Email me with any questions!
