What a great start to the new school year and wonderful to see all of the new and returning faces at the Open House Meet the Teacher night. It was so nice to finally be inside the school and see where our children spend their days. Thanks to all the teachers and staff for making it such a welcoming night!

We wanted to start by sharing a few exciting pieces of news:

FUN LUNCH IS BACK! 
Registration is open and ordering should be available Monday, September 26 (by end of day). Using an easy to use website http://www.munchalunch.com/schools/livingstone/ you can place orders for the weeks and choose items that you and your child are interested in. The fall program will include Pretzel Dogs, Subway, Sushi and Pizza!   These details will also be sent home with your child next week.

The “PAC” The Pantry Drive Update
Thank you to everyone who contributed to our first and hopefully annual PAC Pantry Drive. We had great success in adding items from granola bars, crackers and fruit bars for the pantry. The PAC will add to the pantry to have a complete array of choices for the children.

Fall Fund Drive
Our first PAC Fundraiser will be the Fall Fund Drive. Information cards will be sent home with your child in October and this is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year. This is a direct drive where donors are issued a tax receipt for their donations.

PAC Meeting
Our first PAC meeting is Wednesday, September 28th at 7 p.m. via Zoom.  Please join us! See zoom details below and note the registration process.

The Livingstone PAC welcomes you back to the 2022-23 school year!   We hope everyone has had a relatively smooth transition back to school.  Although the PAC has some new faces, as always, we are here to support you and will work closely with Livingstone administration and staff to ensure our kids have a safe and enjoyable educational experience.  

We wanted to start by sharing a few exciting pieces of news:

FUN LUNCH IS BACK!  [If you know, you know.] For those of you who don’t know, fun lunch is a rotating lunch option that is delivered directly to the school.  We are working to set up the system vendors (Sushi, Subway and Pizza, for example) and hope to have information to you next week for either a September 28 or October 5 start date. Parents pay directly on the website only for the weeks they want to participate.

The “PAC” The Pantry Drive (NEW!) And speaking of lunch, have you ever forgotten to pack a lunch? [Guilty as charged – I once sent my daughter to school with a thermos full of hot water instead of pasta.] So we bring to you, the “PAC” the pantry drive. Since we will be gathering at the school to meet our teachers and staff on September 22, we wanted to organize a pantry item drive to keep the shelves stocked for those inevitable days when children are at school without enough food. Bring oatmeal, granola bars, and anything else you think YOUR child might like. Peanut-free please!

Putting the FUN in FUNDRAISING Finally, we want you to know where all of your hard-earned donations for the various fundraisers are going, so this Fall we will be showcasing all the ways your support of the PAC is helping. Stay tuned!

Looking for Volunteers: 
We are looking for parent class representatives for each division to share information with parents throughout the year.  The role requires compiling a parent email list for the class, forwarding a couple of emails a month to the list and organizing group gifts for holidays and end of year (if you choose).
