PAC is organizing the now-annual teacher appreciation potluck for June 25, 2018. We are looking for parents to drop off a dish at the staff room either before school or around lunchtime (12:10pm). If you are interested or able, please sign up at the google doc indicating what you can bring or whether you can volunteer over the lunch hour to help out. Thanks so much!

Sign up up HERE for the PAC e-newsletter. News and announcements are sent out every few weeks. This is the best way to stay in touch early in the school year, before class reps are in place to help communicate information to parents.
The June PAC meeting has been rescheduled to the 18th at 7:00pm in the Library.
If anyone is needing to stock up on name labels for summer camp (or I guess back to school but that seems far away...woot!) We've had an ongoing 'fundraiser' with Mabel's Labels where our school gets 20% back for all sales. It doesn't add up to a lot....but every little bit counts...especially if we're buying things we normally would any way.
Click on Support a Fundraiser in the top left corner and select David Livingstone if you are interested. Happy packing to everyone prepping for Guide & Scout camp this week and next! For those of you that are interested in grocery delivery or those of you that already use Spud.ca, we’ve added David Livingstone Elementary to their fundraising recipient list. It’s a really easy way to get quality fruits and vegetables and it helps our school - Doesn’t that sound great?
How it Works Go to Spud.ca and sign up for a free account. There are two options. You can purchase a gift card at Spud.ca/spudcards for any amount and SPUD donates 10% of the gift card value directly to David Livingstone PAC. You can use the gift card to purchase any SPUD products online and have the groceries delivered directly to your house. You can also select one of their Fundraising Boxes with fresh fruits and vegetables. Your groceries get delivered to you…and SPUD donates 25% of the Fundraising Box purchase (produce only) directly to David Livingstone Elementary PAC. Make sure you choose David Livingstone from the drop down list at the check out. It's that simple. You can do it once or you can do it as many times as you like. There is no end date so every time you purchase one of their gift cards or fundraising boxes you will be supporting our school. Anyone can do it so tell all your friends, family, neighbours, colleagues at work, people you don't like... anyone! Attached is more information. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Jillian Fargey combined_fundraising_poster_standard.pdf  On June 15th please come join our garden work party. Bring your own cup for refreshments and bring your own gloves for the work. This is a parent led project with the support of the school. Kids of all ages welcome with a participating adult. No gardening skill required just a desire to get in the dirt and have some fun.
After school anytime Friday June 15th 3:00-7:00 Drop in for as long or as short as you like. Rain or shine Hi All. Livingstone will have a booth at the Main Street Car Free Festival this month! We’re looking for 6 parent volunteers, as well as student volunteers, to cover 3 shifts on the day. It’s a really fun event for the neighbourhood, so hopefully you’re able to come and check it out.
TIME: Sunday, June 17th from 12pm to 7pm LOCATION: The booth will be set-up between 23rd Ave and 24th Ave on the WEST side of Main Street ACTIVITIES: A craft station for making Father’s Day cards and selling Cravings Kettle Corn. |
